WASHINGTON STATE FAIR: PARTY BIG WASHINGTON CAMPAIGN

I've managed integrated campaigns across digital, print, social, and live events, maintaining visual consistency under tight deadlines. For the Washington State Fair's Big Washington campaign, I ensured our character worked seamlessly from billboards to merchandise, balancing immediate client needs with long-term audience appeal. The campaign succeeded—fairgoers loved taking photos with Big Washington, creating organic social reach beyond paid media. I handled character creation and development, visual design, video editing, motion graphics, and animation, delivering storyboards, commercials, social content, online and print ads, transit materials, and merchandise designs.

INTEGRATED CAMPAIGNS

DSHS

As Art Director for the "DSHS: Not a Game" campaign, I took charge of the visuals across all platforms. I made sure everything looked connected – from videos and ads (both print and digital) to the landing page, transit displays, and info-packed playing cards. I pushed for maximum visual punch while keeping the Department of Social and Health Services' important message front and center. Even with all the different formats, I kept the storytelling tight and the theme consistent throughout.

I've handled hundreds of videos for the Fair over the years, juggling both art direction and project management. As art director, I made sure our visual style stayed consistent while adapting footage for everything from standard TV spots to every social media format you can imagine. The project management side was intense – coordinating 35+ TV versions each year plus all the social variants meant creating tight production schedules and smart workflows to keep everything moving smoothly.

My creative process starts with diving into the brief to clarify the message, audience, and goals. Then I nail down the client's vision, research for inspiration and check out competitors. I work with copywriters, strategists, and creative directors to develop initial concepts, creating compelling mockups and storyboards that bring these ideas to life.

I craft professional presentations in PowerPoint or Keynote that showcase our concepts with visual impact and strategic storytelling, making it easy for clients to understand the creative vision. After approval, I develop the master creative and campaign materials, staying closely involved during production to ensure everything matches the original vision before final delivery.

I love collaborating with photographers, videographers, stylists, and talent to bring a creative vision to life.
