MOTION DESIGN
COMPOSITING
WSF CONCERT SERIES
Motion graphics compositing is one of my core skills—blending 2D/3D elements, typography, and effects into cohesive, visually engaging scenes. For the Columbia Bank Concert Series, I created flexible video templates to accommodate last-minute artist announcements—often working with just a headshot. Using a mix of Fair footage, stock video, and animated cutouts, I built dynamic promos the client loved and continued to use for three years.
ROTOSCOPING
WASHINGTON STATE FAIR
I use rotoscoping to separate elements in scenes so I can play with them separately. For this WA State Fair video, I had to manually remove backgrounds from stock footage clips. It would have been much easier if the subjects were shot on green screen, but we couldn't find the perfect shots and shooting live wasn't an option in this case. My other roles for this project included design and delivery of multiple video versions, and an entire integrated campaign including banner ads, outdoor and digital out-of-home ads.
SCREEN REPLACEMENT & MOTION TRACKING
MICROSOFT OUTLOOK
Screen replacement and screen re-creation are crucial skills I use to seamlessly integrate digital content into live-action footage. Whether it’s swapping out a screen in a shot or re-creating an entire display with new visuals, I focus on maintaining realism and smooth transitions. Using techniques like tracking and compositing, I ensure that the digital elements look like they belong, making the scene feel cohesive and polished. For Microsoft, I re-created the entire interface of Outlook with vectors and then placed these into multiple different devices in motion.
GREEN SCREEN
SLEEP TRAIN FOSTER KIDS
Green screen work is one of my favorite aspects of motion design, placing characters or objects into any environment, no matter how complex. For the Sleep Train Foster Kids campaign, I helped come up with a video concept that could promote their many charity drives without breaking the budget. One selling point for this concept was the fact that I could do the post work in-house. The kids were all shot on green screen, using the children of clients and friends. I then composited these with chalkboard animations, Illustrated by me, which saved time and helped us create a lrge number of videos and sticking to the tight deadlines.
COMPOSITING & 3D EFFECTS
MICROSOFT
To promote the Microsoft Local Language Program, I created this informative video packed with tons of information. Mixing green screen footage and animated type that moves in a 3D space while the character manipulates and interacts with it. My role on this project also included a full integrated campaign with event posters & banners, leave-behind materials and tchotchkes.
2D & 2.5D EFFECTS
REALESTATE.COM & WASHINGTON DEPT. OF LICENSING
I love working with 2.5D and 3D in After Effects to add depth and dimension to my motion designs. With 2.5D, I can give flat images a more dynamic feel by manipulating layers and creating parallax effects. For full 3D, I bring in elements like textures, lighting, and camera movement to create immersive, lifelike animations. These techniques help elevate my designs, making them feel more realistic and engaging.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT
I’ve led teams through all kinds of integrated ad campaigns—across digital, print, social, and real-world activations—making sure everything looks good and feels consistent. I know how to juggle timelines, manage feedback, and keep everyone aligned without losing the creative spark. Whether it’s a big campaign or a quick-turn project, I make sure it gets done right and on time, with a clear vision from start to finish.

PHOTO & VIDEO DIRECTION
As an art director, I’ve led plenty of photo and video shoots. Being a hands-on video editor and designer myself, I always approach shoots with both production and post-production in mind. I know what’s needed in the edit and how to capture assets that will actually work later, which helps the whole process run smoother. I love collaborating with photographers, videographers, stylists, and talent to bring a creative vision to life.

VISUAL & BRAND IDENTITY
I’ve worked with many different brands—creating identities from scratch and also sticking closely to existing guidelines. I know how to build a look and feel that really reflects a brand’s personality, and I’m comfortable keeping everything consistent across all platforms. Whether it’s setting the tone for a new brand or making sure every asset stays on-brand, I’ve done it all and love the challenge.

PRESENTATIONS & COLLABORATION
I’m big on keeping things organized—whether it’s managing files, setting up shared folders, or creating workflows that make collaboration easy for the whole team. I’ve worked closely with other creatives, producers, and editors to keep projects running smoothly and make sure everyone has what they need, when they need it. I’m also confident creating presentations, walking clients through creative concepts, gathering feedback, and making sure everyone feels involved and excited about the project.
